Absolutely. The bed was designed specifically with the needs of large breeds and senior dogs in mind. The high-density orthopedic foam provides steady, reliable support, while the thoughtful design ensures they can get in and out comfortably.

Will the foam in this bed flatten over time?

We designed our bed for lasting support. Unlike beds that use low-quality fills, we use high-density orthopedic and memory foams that are highly durable and resistant to flattening, even with daily use by large breeds. This is an investment in your dog's long-term comfort.

How do I wash the bed and keep it clean?

Keeping your dog's bed fresh is simple. 

The outer cover is removable and machine-washable in cold water on a gentle cycle. The waterproof mattress protector can be wiped with a damp cloth. 

The mattress foam and bolsters should never be washed or soaked. Regular vacuuming helps keep the cover fresh between washes.

Can I wash the foam mattress or bolsters?

No. The foam mattress core and the bolsters must remain dry and should never be put in a washing machine. If needed, you can gently spot-clean them with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry completely before reassembling the bed.

Is the bed waterproof?

The VersaTails bed is thoughtfully designed with multiple layers of protection to help guard against messes. The outer cover is 100% machine-washable, the bolsters are protected by their own inner lining, and the mattress core is wrapped in a gusseted TPU-coated waterproof mattress protector to block liquid penetration. That said, the foam itself should always be kept dry. We recommend wiping spills quickly and ensuring everything is fully dry before reassembly.

Do you sell replacement covers?

Yes. Our covers are highly durable and designed to last, but we know that having an extra on hand can be convenient. You can purchase a separate cover to ensure your dog always has a clean place to rest, even on laundry day.

Is the VersaTails bed chew-proof?

Honest answer: No soft bed is. We engineered our beds with furniture-grade fabrics to withstand digging, nesting, and daily wear. However, we prioritized orthopedic comfort over rigid armor. While our materials are tough, no soft textile or foam can withstand the claws & jaws of a determined chewer.

How do I choose the right size?

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to all 50 U.S. states. Standard shipping terms apply to the contiguous United States. Orders to Alaska and Hawaii are also supported, though shipping times may be longer and additional charges may apply.

Is shipping free?

Yes, we offer free standard shipping on all dog beds within the contiguous United States. Additional fees may apply for deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii.

How long does shipping take?

Orders typically ship within 1–2 business days. Delivery within the contiguous U.S. usually takes 3 to 5 business days. Shipping to Alaska or Hawaii may take longer depending on location.

Can I track my order?

Yes. As soon as your order ships, we will send you a confirmation email containing a tracking number.

Can I return a product?

To ensure the health and safety of every dog, we can only accept returns on products that are in new, unused condition.

  • We gladly accept returns if: The product is unused with the mattress seal intact, and the return is initiated within 30 days of delivery.
  • We cannot accept returns if: The mattress seal has been broken, tags have been removed, or the product shows any sign of use, It’s a custom or bundled item, It was purchased on sale or with a discount of 20% or more

What is your warranty policy?

We stand behind our craftsmanship. Every VersaTails bed includes a 1-Year No-Flatten Warranty on the mattress core.

  • What's covered: Manufacturing defects, foam that cracks or splits, and any mattress flattening beyond 2 inches that occurs with normal use.
  • What's not covered: Damage from chewing or clawing, moisture damage from improper care, and normal wear and tear on the cover or bolsters, damage from washing the mattress or bolsters.
